Everybody wants the best "deal." What defines a great for you? For most everyone that I talk to, it is the price per square ft. That generally says you get the most bang for your buck. It is not the whole story. If the lot is large, if the back yard is very nice with hot tub and outdoor kitchen, those things can add to the equation and make the price per square ft. not the most important factor.
