Gilbert Arizona real estate has been some of the most sought after property in the Phoenix area. Gilbert is located in the Southeast Valley of the Phoenix Metro and is surrounded by Chandler, Arizona, Mesa, Arizona and Queen Creek, Arizona. The San Tan Mountains and Superstition Mountains are visible from Gilbert and are very beautiful.  In the last few years, Gilbert has been one of the fastest growing cities in the nation.  Gilbert is well known for its great schools and its incredible quality of life.

Gilbert Arizona offers many things to do including many nearby hiking trails, beautiful city parks including Cross Roads Park, Freestone Park, and one of Gilbert’s newest parks, Cosmo Park. Gilbert, AZ is close to many nearby attractions and venues including the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Diamond Backs, and the Arizona Cardinals. The Fiesta bowl is an annual event held in the Phoenix area. The 2008 Superbowl will be held in the area at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.

I love living in Gilbert, AZ for many reasons.  Gilbert has a great first impression because the common areas and road medians are professionally landscaped. They are so well kept due to mandated upkeep and regular maintenance.  The Parks and Recreation Dept has done a great job of managing and maintaining the city parks and other recreational facilities.  Freestone Park has got to be one of the most beautiful and talked about parks in the area.  It has wide open areas for playing and picnicking, it has softball and baseball fields, it has a skate park, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts.  There is a children’s train ride, a party and recreation area and an amphitheater.  Gilbert, AZ continues to have a small town feel but is very close to all that the Phoenix metro has to offer.

Real estate in Gilbert, AZ has grown in volume over the last 10 years.  A very large number of homes are 10 years old or less due to the very high interest in living in Gilbert.  Gilbert has many very desirable subdivisions and to go along with the housing growth, the commercial growth has been very strong as well.  It needed to be because of the high demand for grocery stores, restaurants and many other services and retailers.

In March 2008 there were 269 homes sold in Gilbert, AZ with an average sales price of $282,880.  The average sales price to list price was 95.74% (for example: if a house was listed at $100,000 it would sale for $95,740) and they averaged 116 days on market. There are many great homes available in Gilbert AZ. Please contact me if you have any questions.
